Background  In order to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030, which has sustainable development of the environment as one of its four main objectives of Kahramaas commitment,Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) is planning to develop an innovative park which has been designed as a model centre for disseminating information on ways to conserve water and electricity. The park will also demonstrate the processes of electricity generation and water desalination from the sea and serve as an innovative source of entertainment and knowledge, especially for children.The park will offers infrastructure services for development and it has developed effective measures to minimise obstruction of daylight providing landscape that encourages greenery and fights desertification. The park will use solar energy to heat water and a system to treat grey water and it also uses materials that facilitates future reuse or recycling.The park will use materials that eliminates excessive energy consumption, controls indoor pollutant sources and provides sufficient noise insulation.
